About Us
Mission Mechanical is a locally and family owned HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and commercial refrigeration company based in Lawrence, Indiana. Founded in 2002 by Michael Arbuckle, the company was built on a straightforward belief: every customer, whether a large commercial facility or a homeowner, deserves high-quality mechanical service delivered honestly and at a fair value.
More than two decades later, that belief still drives every service call, every installation, and every interaction our team has with the businesses and residents of Indianapolis and Central Indiana.
Where We Started
Mission Mechanical was originally founded as a commercial installation and service company. Our roots are in serving commercial customers across Indianapolis, including office buildings, retail centers, restaurants, medical facilities, warehouses, and industrial properties. That commercial foundation gave us technical depth and field experience that comes from working on large, complex mechanical systems every single day.
Building that commercial reputation required us to earn trust through consistent, quality workmanship. We did not cut corners. We showed up on time. We fixed problems correctly the first time. That reputation brought us more commercial clients, and eventually, it brought us into the homes of the same employees and business owners we were already serving.
Growing Into Residential Service
Over time, Mission Mechanical expanded to offer full residential plumbing, heating, and cooling services throughout Indianapolis and Central Indiana. We brought the same commercial standards and the same technician caliber into residential homes.
What that means for homeowners is straightforward. You get the reliability of a large contractor with the attentiveness of a neighborhood service company. Our goal is for every customer to feel like they are our only customer, and that goal has not changed since the day we opened.

All Mission Mechanical HVAC technicians hold NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certification. NATE is the gold standard for HVAC technical competency and is verified through rigorous industry examinations. You will never have an uncertified technician working on your heating or cooling system.

Our Services
Mission Mechanical provides commercial and residential services across four primary disciplines.
Commercial Services
We install, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units, VRF systems, boilers, and heat pumps. Our commercial plumbing team handles full system installation, sewer line repair and replacement, drain cleaning, and hydro jetting. Our licensed electricians provide commercial electrical system design and installation, lighting, EV charging station installation, generator installation, and fire alarm systems. We also install and service commercial refrigeration systems including walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, display cases, and ice machines.

Mission Mechanical is an authorized dealer for Carrier, Trane, and Bryant commercial and residential HVAC equipment. All installations by Mission Mechanical as an authorized dealer qualify for full manufacturer warranty coverage. View our full brand directory.
We also install and service Lochinvar commercial boilers, Navien tankless water heaters, AO Smith water heaters, Rinnai tankless water heaters, Bradford White water heaters, Rheem equipment, Bosch, EcoSmart, and American Standard water heaters.

Our Service Agreement
Customers who sign a Mission Mechanical Service Agreement receive scheduled preventative maintenance visits, priority scheduling, and a 10 percent discount on the entire invoice for repairs outside of the maintenance agreement. Our goal is to make every customer feel like they are being treated fairly, and the Service Agreement is built around that principle.
